Various Daylife is now available exclusively on the Apple Arcade, the new game subscription service to come from Apple. This simulation RPG sends players to the mysterious continent of Antoecia. Here they must band together with other new arrivals in order to explore the land and develop their settlement.
The game was developed by the same team that created Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default.
In the game, you play as colonists that are exploring the newly discovered continent. As colonists, you go on expeditions accompanied by computer-controlled allies. The goal is to discover what secrets the land hides while gathering valuable rewards. However, players need to come up with a good strategy since they can only carry a limited number of items as they journey outside the walls of the town. Not only that, when they reach unexplored and dangerous areas, they need to fight hostile beasts and survive the elements, among many other challenges. By getting materials, players can then upgrade and expand their settlement in order to get access to additional characters and storylines.
Fans of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default are sure to love Various Daylife, especially with the unique battle system. Players can make use of what is known as the “three CHAs” in order to inflict damage on their enemies. CHANGE offers inflicting status effects while CHAIN works with allies to link status effects. Finally, CHANCE allows players to deliver that devastating and final blow.
The game gives players the chance to choose from at least 20 jobs. There are the RPG standards like Cleric and Warrior, along with original ones like Server and Politician. The new jobs can be accessed by playing through the story. For each job, players can increase the parameters and expertise by finishing at least 100 unique work tasks. This particular system lets players develop, as well as customize, characters in order to match their own playstyle.
Various Daylife is available exclusively on Apple Arcade. Players can subscribe to Apple Arcade for $4.99 per month in order to get unlimited access to a catalog containing at least 10 new and exclusive games. In addition, the game can be played across different Apple products like the iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Mac, and even Apple TV. Currently, Apple Arcade is now available on iOS 13 and is set to arrive soon to iPadOS, macOS Catalina, and tvOS 13.
