The Evolution of 'Valorant': Five Years of Innovation

Released on June 2, 2020, "Valorant" joined the FPS universe with a twist—tactical gunplay mixed with Agent powers. From its modest start with 11 Agents and four maps, the title has evolved into a competitive behemoth. Now it features 28 Agents, a deep map roster, and a successful worldwide esports platform spearheaded by the "Valorant" Champions Tour (VCT).

The title has also expanded beyond PC, reaching console and mobile platforms. "Valorant's" esports scene now includes Premier Mode for amateur pros and Game Changers tournaments that uplift women and marginalized players to the Tier 1 stage.

Studio Head Anna Donlon emphasized the team's commitment to growing alongside the community:

"Our commitment to this game is stronger than ever, and I'm so grateful to continue this journey with our community."
