Valorant Patch 1.11 Rolled Back Due To Major Issues

Valorant update 1.11 had some major issues with its launch. The latest update was pretty major, and includes the new agent, Skye, a left-handed gun model, and general tweaks to the game.

“In 30 minutes, we'll be rolling back the patch for North America, Brazil, and LATAM (one at a time). We're also delaying all other regions until we get a fix.” Valorant tweeted, “We know we've said this every patch, but thanks for sticking by.”

While the reasons for the update rollback weren’t specified, players have guessed that one of the lingering bugs could involve Sage’s character model randomly appearing while walking through Omen’s smokes. Another hilarious bug was Agents being able to move around like Dolphins. Older bugs such as Viper and Brimstone’s smokes reducing visual cues also have persisted and will be fixed by the next update.

Riot has also disabled Skye’s character contract, so that means players will have to wait until update 1.11 is back again to complete it. It’s a good time for players to complete their other pending contracts while waiting for the new agent to come back to live servers.

Riot wanted the first officially supported First Strike Qualifiers to go smoothly without any issues. It seems like the developer might have to push back the update’s re-release until after the qualifiers, or at least until after Riot has fixed all the issues which persist in the 1.11 update. Personally, I think the choice to postpone the update was a smart decision. A bungled patch release could end up like the mid-season patch for Rainbow Six Siege which took place between pro league matches and faced major backlash from the pro community.

So, what are your thoughts on Riot Games reverting the unstable 1.11 update? Have you experienced any of these issues while playing the 1.11 update? Whatever your thoughts may be, let us know in the comments below.
