Twitter user Wario64 discovered that game developer Bethesda put up a placeholder page for a project available for preorder on Amazon.

The now deleted Amazon posting revealed that this unknown game is available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is tentatively priced at $59.99 and offers three different versions: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s. The only other information is that the listing metioned a December 31 release date, meaning that the actual release could occur within the year.

The revelation has made fans excited, especially when it comes to guessing what the actual game is.

Many fans are leaning towards this leaked Amazon listing as a remastered version of either Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas. One reason for this guess is the Amazon post included a placeholder video running a countdown. The second reason is that the company recently re-released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Should this mysterious game prove to be Fallout, it will serve as a fresh chance for Bethesda after the launch of Fallout 76 did not meet expectations. Fallout 76 received mixed reviews from critics, with many noting that the high amount of bugs and glitches affect the game's entertainment value. Bethesda ended up giving all Fallout 76 players a copy of the Fallout Classic Collection for free.

Currently, reports reveal that Bethesda Softworks is working on five known titles: DOOM: Eternal, RAGE 2, Starfield, The Elder Scrolls VI, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
