There’s no question that all eyes are now on the upcoming Pokémon GO Fest 2021. After all, this two-day event has a lot of activities lined up for trainers around the world. The fun however doesn’t stop even when the celebrations are over. What are we talking about? It’s because of Ultra Unlock.
So how does it work? During the GO Fest 2021, a feature called the Global Challenge Arena will be available only for those who have tickets. In this one, Trainers team up to finish a collaborative challenge every hour. For every challenge completed, Trainers earn a bonus for the remainder of the hour. So far so good right?
Now finishing a certain amount of challenges leads to Ultra Unlock. If all 24 challenges are completed, all three Ultra Unlocks become available.
When eight global challenges are completed, Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time becomes available. From July 23 to August 3, the flow of time is disrupted and Pokémon in different eras start to appear more often.
Finishing 16 global challenges give Ultra Unlock Part 2: Space. Beginning August 6 and running all the way to August 17, space gets distorted and Pokémon from different places appear.
So what happens when all 24 global challenges are completed? Trainers get access to Ultra Unlock Part 3. But what anomaly it causes hasn’t been revealed yet. The clues are time from Part 1 and space from Part 2. So, any ideas on what Part 3 could be? This one starts on August 20 and ends on August 31.
GO Fest 2021
Speaking of the GO Fest 2021, the in-game shop is going to see the debut of music-themed avatar items on July 16. These include shirts that have the shirts with Whismur-, Loudred-, and Exploud-inspired patterns. There are also face stickers and the guitar case backpack.
Like the previous celebrations, there are free events for everyone and exclusive ones for those who buy a ticket. For the 2021 celebration, Trainers who have tickets get an exclusive Meloetta Shirt avatar item after they finish the Special Research of the festival.
Those without tickets need not worry since the Pokémon GO Fest 2021 shirt avatar item is available for free starting July 16.
