Pokémon GO Fest 2021 is happening in July. That doesn’t mean though it’s the only event for trainers. There are other exciting events to make things interesting before the big day.
One of the events is the monthly Community Day this Saturday, and it’s going to feature the Fire Pig Pokémon Tepig. Next is the Research Breakthrough encounters starting tomorrow, July 1, and lasts until August 1. During this event, trainers get to encounter Rufflet. In addition, trainers who can achieve a Research Breakthrough get a Remote Raid Pass for free.
Spotlight Hours
For July , the Spotlight Hour takes place every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., local time. For each hour, a different Pokémon will be in the spotlight along with a special bonus. These are:
- July 6
- Spotlight on: Bulbasaur
- Bonus: Earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon.
- July 13
- Spotlight on: Charmander
- Bonus: Earn twice the Candy for catching Pokémon.
- July 20
- Spotlight on: Squirtle
- Bonus: Earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon.
- July 27
- Spotlight on: Natu
- Bonus: Earn twice the XP for evolving Pokémon.
Raids
For the entire month, these Pokémon appear in five-star raids:
- Bidoof
- July 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (local time)
- The Mythical Pokémon Deoxys
- Appears in its Defense Forme
- July 1 at 8:00 p.m. to July 16 at 10:00 a.m. (local time)
- The Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo
- July 16 at 10:00 a.m. to July 23 at 10:00 a.m. (local time)
There are also Mega-Evolved Pokémon appearing in Mega Raids and these are:
- Mega Houndoom
- July 1 at 8:00 p.m. to July 16 at 10:00 a.m. (local time)
- Mega Gengar
- July 16 at 10:00 a.m. to July 23 at 10:00 a.m. (local time)
- Mega Charizard X
- July 23 at 10:00 a.m. to August 6 at 10:00 a.m. (local time)
Other Events
Pokémon GO is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, and the festivities start July 6 and last until July 15.
Of course, July is also the month of Pokémon GO ’s biggest event: GO Fest 2021. The festival is scheduled for July 17 and July 18, with each day offering a different experience.
