TiMi Studio Group has partnered with Capcom Co., Ltd. with the plan of releasing a new mobile game based on the iconic Monster Hunter series. This upcoming game is set to reproduce the hunting actions that defined the franchise and offer a new game experience, unique for mobile devices and phones.

This first-time partnership between two companies combines the experience and strengths of both sides. This should allow Monster Hunter to scale to more platforms with an aim to give global hunters, whether longtime players or new to the series, the freedom to hunt as they desire, anytime and anywhere.

There’s no question that the mobile gaming market is still growing and that’s why we’ve been seeing many games previously limited to PC and consoles and now in this platform. In fact, this is not the first Monster Hunter game offered for mobile. Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting was released in 2011 for iOS.

Hunting for Monsters

The Monster Hunter series are composed of hunting action games set in beautiful natural environments with players having to go against giant monsters. The series started the genre of games where players cooperate to hunt with their friends.

The first game was released in 2004 with players taking on the role of a Hunter, tasked with trapping or slaying large monsters as part of quests given by NPCs. There are also quests where the Hunter needs to gather certain items, which put them in danger of facing different monsters. As part of the core gameplay for the series, players can use loot gained from slaying monsters and gather resources to help them prepare against more powerful monsters. All titles in the main series feature multiplayer, though there is the choice to play the single-player.
