Telltale Games and Athlon Games are readying up to release the new Telltale Batman Shadows Edition. The Shadows Edition will add a noir-style theme and graphical upgrade to the game. The Batman Shadows Edition includes the base Batman Season One game and the graphical upgrades, which can be purchased on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Epic Game Store, and Steam for $29.99. However, if you already own the base game you can get the Shadows Edition upgrade for just $4.99.

It was quite heartbreaking to hear that the world-famous developer Telltale Games was shutting down last year. This arduous period for the developer consequently led to the loss of many jobs for its employees. Even more, the studio's assets were sold off to the highest bidder. Just a few months after this incident, LCG Entertainment expressed hope in the beloved developer and helped Telltale Games to rise from the ashes. LCG Entertainment is hoping to generate lost revenue by re-releasing the existing games, so any money earned can be used to fund new games.

Gameatsu first reported that Telltale's Batman game will be receiving a new DLC. However, it is important to know that the Shadows Edition does not come with Batman's second season, Batman: Enemy Within.

The Shadows Edition also includes some amazing new features such as a noir-style visual enhancement and graphical upgrades. Telltale Games have always struggled with their graphics engine, which rendered all of their games to look graphically the same. This does not mean that the developer's art style approach to the game is bad by any means. It will be interesting to see how the enhanced graphics are going to change the game's aesthetics. The game will now also embrace Batman's detective side for most of the gameplay.
