Our one-year-long wait is renewed as this year’s The Game Awards has come to an end. TGA 2022 was better than I thought it would be, and no, not because of the whole Bill Clinton thing, although it was pretty funny.

Instead, we are referring to all the world premieres. We received more information on some anticipated titles, along with some very pleasant surprises. We genuinely didn’t expect some of the titles that were revealed at the event. Here are some of our favorite such announcements.

Hades 2

Hades 2 was the first game to be shown at TGA and that’s one way to start a show. The follow-up to the much-loved title came as a surprise as Supergiant Games don’t normally do sequels. While there were also no leaks about the game, Hades 2 will arrive on PC next year in an early access state.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon

FromSoftware won GOTY at The Game Awards and it also won the best world premiere. The acclaimed studio surprised many by announcing a new entry in the dormant Armored Core franchise. The next entry in the series is planned for a 2023 release on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Death Stranding 2 (Working Title)

Many speculated that a sequel to Kojima’s weirdest game will be revealed at TGA but there wasn’t any hard proof. Either way, those assumptions were accurate, with Death Stranding 2 announced with the strangest trailer. We saw many characters from the previous game like Fragile and Sam Porter, played by Léa Seydoux and Norman Reedus, respectively.

The game is currently confirmed for PS5. However, I am hopeful we will eventually see a PC port as well.

Judas

This one was my favorite reveal. Judas is the newest game from Ken Levine, the genius mind behind System Shock 2, BioShock 1, and BioShock Infinite. The upcoming title has been in development for quite a while now. It currently has no release date, but we do know that it’s planned for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Judas is not to be confused with BioShock 4, the upcoming title in development at Cloud Chamber Studios.

So, what do you think? Which game are you excited about the most? Was there another game reveal you were looking forward to? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
