The Game Awards 2022 is almost upon us. The biggest event celebrating the gaming industry will go live on December 8. To get viewers all hyped up, the organizers have released a new trailer showcasing footage from multiple games and game-based shows. You can watch it below.

Live in This Illusion

As you can see, the trailer titled “Live in This Illusion” is going heavy on major hits with footage from games like Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarök. The Netflix show Arcane also took the center stage.

The trailer is not a hint about which game is sweeping TGA but to get viewers hyped for the show, and I think it succeeded in that.

The footage also contained some unreleased games. I noticed clips from Tekken 8 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. We know Tekken 8 will be present at the event, so maybe, the Star Wars title will follow suit.

Player’s Voice Award

The voting for the Player’s Voice Award is currently live. This is an award exclusively decided by fans, not by the jury. Out of 30 games, five have been selected and these lucky titles are Sonic Frontiers, Genshin Impact, Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarök, and Stray.

Surprisingly, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Horizon Forbidden West weren’t selected and we were surprised to see Genshin and Sonic as nominated games. But hey, the people have decided. You can also make your voice heard by voting for your favorite game via the official site.

You can also vote for games in all other categories.
