Red Dead Redemption 2? GTA V story DLC? Some other awesome game we can’t even conceive of? It’s all possible as publisher Take-Two has recently announced they will be attending E3 this year “in a big way,” according to MCV’s interview with Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. There were no specifics mentioned about what this means, so let’s get right to the speculation.

Take-Two had a pretty slow year in 2015, but 2016 is already off to a good start. XCOM 2 received high review scores and has sold well, despite only being released on PC. Looking forward, we also know Take-Two will be publishing Battleborn in May and Mafia 3 later in 2016.

While those are some good games, only one of them will still be unreleased by this year’s E3, and one game does not justify a “big” E3 presence. This means Take-Two must have some cool secrets up its sleeves.

We haven’t heard from Rockstar for a long time now outside of GTA Online. While Rockstar and Take-Two have been making bank with the online game, surely they must have thoughts on a new game. We’ve seen teases for GTA V single-player DLC, so maybe Rockstar is finally working on that.

Another possibility is Red Dead Redemption 2. Based on leaks, it seems the first Red Dead Redemption is coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility, so this could be seen as hype for a sequel.

As for other studios, Gearbox is hard at work on Battleborn, so don’t expect anything crazy like Borderlands 3 to get announced this year.

Of course, there’s always the possibility that a different Take-Two studio is working on some new IP. I’m always up for new games and new stories, so this is pretty exciting as well.

So what do you think? Do you want to see something new from Rockstar? What else could Take-Two be preparing to announce? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
