The HTC One M10 likely won’t make an appearance until April if recent rumors are to be believed. The 2016 flagship smartphone may be announced in London on April 11, according Portuguese tech blog 4gnews .

Rumors for the HTC One M10, which is codenamed the “HTC Perfume” are few. However, the tech blog claims HTC will veer away from the M series name for its upcoming device . The device may be named in sequence with the HTC One A9 , which launched in October 2015. Perhaps the device will be called the HTC One A10? At this time, the 4gnews report cannot be confirmed or verified.

However, if the report is true, HTC could be trying to separate itself from the many smartphones that will be released in late February during Mobile World Congress, such as the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the LG G5. The rumored launch date is reminiscent of when the prior HTC One M9 hit stores on April 10 of last year; however, the handset was announced in March 2015 at MWC.

Other recent reports from tech informant @LlabTooFeR suggest the HTC Perfume will feature a 5.2-inch display. This follows reports in late January that suggested the smartphone would feature a Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution display, which would be a first for HTC. Its flagships for the last three years at least have all featured Full HD (1920x1080) resolution displays.

Long rumored specs for the HTC Perfume include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with microSD expansion and the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The device is expected have a design similar to the HTC One A9, as should many future HTC devices.
