For every reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction. That’s how Star Wars fans must be feeling after the saga of Rogue One rumors that have circulated over the past week. So now, here’s the good news: Star Wars: Episode 8 is almost finished filming, and there’s a photo of Luke Skywalker’s Jedi robes on set as evidence.

Director Rian Johnson recently took to Tumblr to share a picture of the Episode 8, captioning the post of Skywalker’s robes, “In the home stretch,” which alludes to the conclusion of principal photography. The news aligns with previous reports from April that suggested Star Wars: Episode 8 would finish production in summer. Unlike Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Episode 8 appears to be chugging along just as planned. Take a look at Johnson's post, below:

It’s impossible to uncover the meaning of Skywalker’s robes in the photo. It’s likely the image was carefully posed, so we can’t really look into details. That being said, it’s nice to see some aspect of Luke’s identity out in the open unlike The Force Awakens, where Luke was disassociated from production and marketing as much as possible. He obviously will play a larger -- if not main -- role in Star Wars 8 and the world is eagerly awaiting to see.

We’ll find out the full extent of Luke’s presence in just about a year and a half when Star Wars: Episode 8 arrives in theaters Dec. 17, 2017.
