Star Wars Battlefront 2 has a new campaign trailer, featuring protagonist Iden Versio and her father Garrick responding to the death of the Emperor at the end of Return Of The Jedi.

The clip does more to showcase the game’s stellar facial animations and voice performances than providing story details, but there are a few nuggets we can glean from the two-minute scene. Trained by her dad, Iden and the rest of her Inferno Squad are set to embark on a mission called Operation Cinder. Its goal is clear: snuff out every last ounce of resistance, rebellion, defiance and hope from the enemy side. Cinder was the last order from Palpatine and, as such, it’s a very important directive.

Iden asks where her targets are located, but her superior’s support droid is quick to tell her that she’s not privileged enough to handle such sensitive information. Garrick describes the assignment as “unusual,” but suggests the decision is the right one for the tough times ahead.

The Versios and their backstory play a major role in Battlefront 2’s single-player campaign. Garrick is an admiral in the Imperial Security Bureau and was hugely instrumental in getting his home planet, Vardos, to bow to the will of the Empire. Growing up under these circumstances, his daughter Iden learned to appreciate the order the Empire provides. She rose through its military ranks, and now she’s the commander of a special operations group called Inferno Squad.

Quite possibly the best news to take home from this clip is just how gorgeous and well-acted everything appears. After the fallout Battlefront 2’s publishers at EA faced in March with Mass Effect: Andromeda, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of “my face is tired” memes here. Despite some odd sound glitching, everything looks polished and ready for release in November.

It’s been a busy week for those following Star Wars Battlefront 2. On Thursday we posted details about the game’s upcoming open beta, and now we get our first lengthy look at the highly anticipated single-player campaign. Portions of it were playable behind closed doors at E3, but in terms of public appearances, this trailer is a pretty big deal.

Even though the campaign won’t be featured in the beta, it won’t be long before fans can get their hands on some Star Wars gaming goodness. Starting Oct. 4, players can experience a Galactic Assault on Theed, a Starfighter Assault on Fondor and a Strike on Takodana. Those who don’t wish to play online will also have access to a portion of the bot-based Arcade Mode.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC Nov. 17.
