This week’s Nintendo Direct presentation gave us a peek at several games arriving on Switch. The highlight of course was the announcement of the new Splatoon 3.

This upcoming addition to the Splatoon series takes players to a new region known as the Splatlands. There are also new features that are sure to make the gameplay experience more exciting. The game will release on Switch in 2022 and you can learn more about it here.

Something from Square Enix

Square Enix is known mainly for its tactical RPGs, and Project Triangle Strategy is one of these. This is just its working title though with a release projected for 2022. For this game, fights take place on terrains that offer different elevations. A free demo is available and can be downloaded here.

Square Enix is also bringing back Legend of Mana with additional features, rearranged music, and fully remastered HD graphics.

Multiplayer Battles

Multiplayer battles are currently a recent trend in the gaming industry and some of them coming to Switch. Those looking for some flora versus undead battles can get Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Complete Edition, which is releasing March 19.

Then, there’s Knockout City which takes dodgeball to a whole new level. If that’s not enough, players can also take the fight to a galaxy far far away with Star Wars: Hunters.

By the way, have we mentioned that Apex Legends is heading to Switch?

Nostalgia Factor

There may be more new games coming to Switch but that hasn’t stopped Nintendo from bringing blasts from the past. Capcom Arcade Stadium, for example, is offering a total of 32 games, yes, you read that right.

Switch players can also enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD launching on July 16. Hopefully, they’ve managed to solve the motion control issue for this version.

Super Mario

The Super Mario franchise is celebrating its 35th birthday. To commemorate this milestone, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is offering some Super Mario-related in-game goodies in a crossover-like event. Those looking for something original can take a shot at Mario Golf: Super Rush.
