SMITE: Update 8.11 Implements Multiple Adjustments in Preparation for World Championship

SMITE Update 8.11 went live recently and it adjusted multiple gods and items before the pros take the stage in the upcoming Season’s World Championship.

The developers saw a steady rise in gods that provide significant healing to their team. Rather than nerfing them individually, they have opted to reduce healing effectiveness on a global scale. Therefore, the healing reduction is now at 40%, which applies to all gods who have not dealt or received damage from another god within the last three seconds.

Other Adjustments

The Lotus Crown has its passive physical and magical protections provided to allies decreased to 15. This change was made for other gods to have a better chance to compete by reducing this item’s team utility.

The Warrior’s Axe has received pretty big adjustments back then, and the goal was to make solo laners more aggressive. However, the buffs may have been over the top and that is why it’s been adjusted again. This time, to reduce its effectiveness in the early game.

Due to her recent rework, Bastet has been pouncing her way to the top of the charts. To reduce her self-sustain and burst potential, her Nightstalker and Huntress of Bast abilities have been adjusted.

The devs feel that Camazotz will continue to be a dominating presence if left unattended. That is why his Vampire Bats and Bat Out of Hell abilities have been modified. These tweaks will make other gods trade blows with him a bit easier.

  • Increased Healing Reduction to 40%
    • This applies globally to all gods who have not dealt/received damage or CC to/from another god within the last 3 seconds

    • Increased Magical Power to 110

    • Decreased the Passive HP Steal to 25
    • Increases the HP Steal to 1.5 per level
  • Sundering Axe
    • Increased Cooldown on the passive to 8 seconds
    • Decreased Damage to 2% + 2% of protection
  • Wind Demon
    • Decreased Attack Speed to 15%
    • Decreased Passive Bonus Attack Speed to 10%
  • Nightstalker
    • Decreased Lifesteal and Ability Lifesteal to 5+0.75% per level (20% max)
    • Decreased Lifesteal and Ability Lifesteal to 5+0.25 per level (10% max)
  • Huntress of Bast
    • Increased Cooldown to 90 seconds
    • Decreased Physical Power Scaling to 90%
  • Tearing the Veil
    • Decreased Physical Power Scaling on the Opening hit to 70%
  • Vampire Bats
    • Decreased the Physical Power Scaling on the initial hit to 80%
    • Decreased Total Scaling to 110%
  • Bat Out of Hell
    • Decreased Physical Power Scaling per hit to 35%
    • Decreased Total Scaling to 105%
Erlang Shen
  • 72 Transformations
    • Decreased Turtle Damage to 55/100/145/190/235
    • Increased Cooldown to 18/17.5/17/16.5/16 seconds
  • Barrier Formation
    • Decrease Duration of this ability to 4 seconds
  • Sentinel of Zeus
    • Decreased Slow Duration to 4 seconds at all ranks
  • Entangling Vines (Ferocious Roar)
    • Increase Cooldown to 15 seconds on both Bear and Druid stances
    • Decreased Druid Power Debuff to 5/7.5/10/12.5/15%
