Classes are starting soon as The Sims 4 is all set to release the Discover University Expansion Pack. This expansion arrives to the PC on November 15 and for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 17.

In today's guide we look at what's coming to The Sims 4 with this new pack.

The new expansion pack introduces the University of Britechester and Foxbury Institute. Here's what you can expect.

Foxbury Institute

The Foxbury Institute is a campus that is a good fit for those who want to be innovative leaders. Offering a modern campus, it has impressive facilities along with events and degree programs focused on science and technology.

Your Sim may want to opt for a more modern campus focused on creating innovative leaders, and the Foxbury Institute should be a great fit. This premier university boasts impressive facilities as well as events and distinguished degree programs geared toward science and technology.

Degrees offered at Foxbury Institute incude:

  • Art History
  • Culinary Arts
  • Drama
  • Fine Art
  • History
  • Language and Literature
  • Communications

Meanwhile, your Sims can expect to earn one of these distinguished degrees:

  • Biology
  • Computer Science
  • Economics
  • Physics
  • Psychology
  • Villainy

The Institute has a lot of organizations and events. One of these is the Foxbury Spirit Squad, where your Sim can put on the red and gold and support the school during School Spirit Day with a juice keg, juice pong, and if you're brave enough, some streaking.

If studying has become too stressful, you can take a break and attend bar night with The Brainiacs honor society. This honor society is a good way for your Sim to help with the robot uprising as the members love to create future overlords with the Bot Savants. You can have your Bot to take part in the Utili-Bot Contest and see if you can reign supreme.

University of Britechester

The University of Britechester is know for students that are smart, well-rounded, and ready to face what the world has to offer. This university has a number of degree paths for your Sim, which include distinguished offerings that put an emphasis on the arts and humanities.

For Degrees your Sim can take:

  • Biology
  • Computer Science
  • Economics
  • Physics
  • Psychology
  • Villainy

If you're looking for Distinguished Degrees, then you can go for:

  • Art History
  • Culinary Arts
  • Drama
  • Fine Art
  • History
  • Language and Literature
  • Communications

in UBrite, you Sim can show their dance moves by being part of the Britechester Spirit Corps Organization. Here your Sim can promote Dragon pride and maybe do a keg stand. If you're feeling a bit creative, head on over to the canal by the commons and do some figure painting along with the Art Society. You can also test your mettle with the Debate Guild.

Financial Aid

Even before you decide where your Sim should go, it's advisable to do some research on how they're going to pay for college. There are different grants and scholarships for students who are gifted athletically and academically. There are even need-based scholarships.

For Sims that already started on their career path and want to move forward with their education, they can opt for a career scholarship. Your Sim has the option to choose which scholarship is best for them. There are also student loans available, though these payments come due once your Sim graduates.

College Life

Whether at the Foxbury Institute or the University of Britechester, there are different choices for your SIm to live either on-campus or off-campus. Sims can decorate dorm rooms, hang out with roommates, or even compete in ping pong matches. Sims can cram for finals in the commons or have some after school fun with the soccer team.

You Sim can even pull pranks, but don't enjoy this too much. If your Sim gets too distracted and their grades drop, this could lead to more issues, especially for those who are on a grant or scholarships.

After the world of magic, the university expansion pack is sure to offer new experiences. You can pre-order the pack here.
