Leaker and insider Dusk Golem (AestheticGamer) has a new scoop regarding the latest developments on "Silent Hill 2's" remake, particularly as the game is apparently not yet done. Most game remakes end after revamped title that is now fit for modern consoles is released as their main goal is to bring a piece of nostalgia to gamers and make it available to new audiences.
However, it is known that Konami and the team behind "Silent Hill's" remakes, the Bloober Team, are changing several parts of the story in their games and are essentially offering new experiences from the original release. For "Silent Hill 2" Remake, Bloober changed many parts of the game, including the addition of more puzzles, rooms, keys, and more without losing the essence of the original story.
Now, this rumored DLC is said to focus on the "Born from a Wish" storyline that Bloober will be taking from the original game's re-releases, transforming it to fit the "Silent Hill 2" remake. It is also important to note that Bloober's work on "Silent Hill 2" Remake also potentially hinted at the said storyline, one that could very well be the tease that links the game from this DLC.
What to Expect from 'Silent Hill 2' Remake DLC?
The leaker said that Bloober has been working on the development of this "Born from a Wish" storyline as a DLC for the recent remake since they released the game in October of last year. The leaker said that talks behind this purported DLC was reignited most recently.
According to ComicBook Gaming, the "Born from a Wish" storyline follows Maria in the foggy town of Silent Hill way before the main character, James Sunderland, arrives here looking for his deceased wife. Here, players are given the opportunity to learn more about Maria and who she is how she came to be in Silent Hill, helping connect the story from the remake game's narrative.
The leaker also revealed that they believe that an announcement for "Silent Hill 2" Remake's "Born from a Wish" DLC is close, saying that there is a "very high chance" that it would be revealed soon. Based on the leaker's speculation, the DLC would be released before the year ends.
