Samurai Shodown revealed that three new characters are joining the roster through its Season 2 DLC. This first set of DLC characters for Season 2 will be released in February. Things are even more exciting for Switch owners as the new content will release along with Season 1 characters on February 25.

The first character that arrives with the DLC is Mina. She first made her appearance back in Samurai Shodown 5, which released in 2003. Mina was born in Ryukyu and uses her strong spiritual energy along with a bow to rid the world of all the evil demons. Mina got the top spot during the most wanted DLC characters poll held by Dengeki Online.

Sogetsu is also joining the fight after making his debut back in 1996 with Samurai Shodown 4. A ninja of the Kazam Clan, he has the ability to control the power of water. His younger brother Kazuki already made his appearance in the game back in November as a Season 1 DLC Character.

Finally, the third character joining is Iroha. With a pair of butterfly swords, she does what she can to protect her master. She first joined the franchise during Samurai Shodown 6 in 2005. Iroha ranked second during the most wanted DLC characters poll by Dengeli Online

There is also a fourth DLC character joining, but is going to be released at a later date.

Samurai Shodown is available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia.
