New details about the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active are surfacing by the day. Recently, benchmarking service GFX-Bench revealed specs for the device SM-G891A, which is believed to be the upcoming smartphone.

For some time, the Galaxy S7 Active was expected to be a blend of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge features, and this now appears to be true. The S7 Active will likely feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge, while many other hardware specs are similar to both devices. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera and the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.

Features like battery capacity were not revealed in the benchmark, but given the rugged nature of Samsung’s Active devices, it could feature a larger battery like the Galaxy S7 Edge. The Galaxy S7 features a 3,000mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 Edge features a 3,600mAh battery. At this time, no features for the Galaxy S7 Active have been confirmed.

A recent leak revealed a camo design and reinforced polycarbonate plastic frame for the Galaxy S7 Active. Typically Galaxy Active devices are water and dust proof to appeal to users with active lifestyles.

The Galaxy S7 Active is expected to launch exclusively on the AT&T network.
