Rockstar Games recently announced that they will donate five percent of revenue from their online games such as Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online towards ending the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“These funds will be used to help local communities and businesses struggling with the impacts of COVID-19, both directly and by supporting some of the amazing organizations who are on the ground helping those affected by this crisis," Rockstar games stated in their tweets. "As things progress, we will share more on these efforts.”

Grand Theft Auto V is a very popular game with a huge fanbase. During the game's launch Rockstar generated $815 million in worldwide revenue and it was the bestselling game at that time. Grand Theft Auto Online was also very popular when it launched, and still manages to be one of the most-played online games today. GTA Online is not only popular with gamers, it has an almost permanent spot on the top games viewed on Twitch at any given time.
