With the year almost over, Rocket League revealed that there are still more surprises to come with the Winter 2019 Roadmap. For starters, the first three DLC packs are now going to be added to the game. Rocket League also announced a number of updates with its Season 12 rewards and even Season 8 of the Rocket League Championship Series.

Original DLC

An update is set to be released before the year ends, and this includes adding Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run DLC Packs to the base game. What this means is that since these three DLC Packs are going to be added to the base game, they're no longer available for sale. That's right, all Rocket League owners now get access to Dominus, Takumi, Scarab, Zippy, Ripper, and Grog.

Players who purchased any of these DLCs beginning October 1 and onwards are eligible for a refund through their first-party platform. An announcement is going to be made soon with regards to the actual date the content is to be added to the base game.

Season 12 Rewards

As the Competitive Season 12 ends, Rocket League announced that for the first time, rewards for the current season are going to be Universal Animated Decals. Each rank is going to have its very own unique Animated Decal which can be equipped to any customizable vehicle. In order to earn the rewards for Competitive Season 12 before it ends in December, players need to complete placement matches in a Competitive Playlist as well as fulfill the appropriate Season Reward Level.

Frosty Fest 2019

While players are still enjoying Haunted Hallows featuring Stranger Things, they can look forward to a new installment of the Frosty Fest in-game winter event this December. Prepare to deck the halls and your favorite vehicles with the coolest of customization items to celebrate this very happy season. Frosty Fest 2019 starts in mid-December and runs into the new year.

Inventory Archiving

With inventories growing, Rocket League is giving players the option to archive items so they no longer appear in their main inventory tabs. To house all the archived items, an "Archive" tab is going to be added to the inventory screen. Through this change, players should be able to navigate more quickly to the items they want. Archiving is going to be added with the Blueprint Update later this year. You can read more about Blueprints here.

Rocket League Esports

Two live events are scheduled for before the year ends. The first is the Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) National Championship which takes place at the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on November 9. You can buy the CRL National Championship tickets here.

Meanwhile, the world's best Rocket League teams will fight it out at the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) World Championship in Madrid, Spain on December 13 to 15. Between now and the final games of Season 8, there is still a lot of League Play action to watch. You can buy RLCS Season 8 World Championship Tickets here.
