RiME by Tequila Works has returned from hiatus with its first brand-new gameplay trailer in three years. Now, RiME will no longer be a PS4 exclusive. Instead, the official re-introduction of RiME also confirms its debut for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The gorgeous puzzle adventure game trailer also reveals RiME’s release date, set for May 2017.

Originally announced during Gamescom back in 2013, RiME was a PS4 exclusive with Sony owning its IP. In March 2016, Tequila Works turned the tables and decided to work hard at reacquiring the game's rights. They did, which brings us to today, RiME is back and available across various platforms.

RiME’s return also comes just in time before the release of the Nintendo Switch console. Nintendo will host a presentation for the Switch next week, where we expect to learn more about RiME or perhaps even see more gameplay as the game makes it way back into the spotlight as one of this year’s most anticipated games..

RiME is a single player adventure game played from the perspective of a young boy who has awakened after a shipwreck. Enjoy the game at your own pace while exploring the beautiful Mediterranean-inspired mysterious island and discover its forgotten ruins, wild animals, secrets, and an adorable fox as the guide. With an art style and resemblance of Ico, RiME is stunning and filled with plenty of promise.
