The Rick and Morty Season 2 finale radically altered the show’s status quo, ending with Rick in galactic federation prison and Earth becoming the newest member of said federation. The lines have been blurred between the Smith family’s home life and Rick’s galaxy-hopping adventures. The Gromflomites have arrived and Earth will have to find its place in their grand galactic bureaucracy.

So it was only natural that Rick and Morty would get politicized during Monday’s presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
