Resident Evil 4 Remake launches on current-gen consoles and PC in March 2023. Till now, all we have seen is a teaser trailer and a few seconds of gameplay. The details of the remake are scarce, and fans are getting hungry.

A recent rumor on Reddit claims to know a few things about the remake. But do take it with a grain of salt.

Demos and More

The rumor claims two upcoming demos, similar to Resident Evil Village demos. One of the demos will take place in the village and the other in the castle, and both will go live in January. The Minigun Guy has been removed from the game, though the Rocket Launcher Guy is retained.

Luis Storyline and Ashley Changes

Luis' story is expanded via flashbacks, and he will have some scenes with his grandpa. Ashley’s AI will be drastically improved, and she will be able to throw rocks at enemies. Her portion in the castle has also been removed; she can now use a knife.

The rest of the rumors are mentioned below:

  • Krauser is not cut from the game and his role is expanded in a very interesting way (He's not the person who kidnaps Ashley anymore), Knife Fight is still in the game.
  • Regenerators have a scarier design, The first Iron Maiden has a Scientist's body impaled onto it's spikes.
  • Salazar is still a midget and has a creepier personality.
  • Salazar only has one Verdugo protecting him this time and he is a stalker in the castle, you can down him but you can't kill him because later in the game he gets combined with Salazar.
  • The Big Cheese also has an expanded storyline and works like Mr. X in the village portion of the game. His final form is still the centipede monster and you still fight him in the barn.
  • Del Lago's boss fight is significantly different, working similar to the Moreau fight in Village. And yes, if you shoot the water you'll still get the jumpscare, but it doesn't eat you this time, you just see a really big shadow swimming to the other end of the lake.
