Playstation's most recent State of Play has finally confirmed the release date for Resident Evil 3 remake. The game is set to release on April 3, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. Although there were quite a few speculations regarding two different RE games, namely the RE 3 remake and Resident Evil Resistance. But, according to the official information, instead of being a standalone game, Resident Evil Resistance is going to be a part of the RE 3 remake. Check out the Sony Resident Evil 3 Remake State of Play announcement trailer now:

Similar to the earlier RE 2 remake players received earlier this year, Capcom has gone in the same direction of modernizing the game. The trailer shows the first-person view of the protagonist, Jill Valentine, running for her life from the nightmarish Nemesis.

Resident Evil 3 is set in a Raccoon City that is infected by the T-virus and takes place just a few hours before the events of Resident Evil 2. Surprisingly, the Resident Evil 3 remake also includes a cooperative multiplayer game, Resident Evil Resistance. Resident Evil Resistance is a four player co-op experience in which players have to work together to fight the mastermind, who spawns all kinds of mosters to hunt you down. All you have to rely upon is a variety of weapons, unique character abilities, and communication with your teammates.

Additionally, if you pre-order the game before April 3, 2020, you will receive an exclusive Classic Costume Pack for Jill Valentine and hairstyle for Carlos Oliveira.
