The First Time

It was in 2020 when the Razer Invitational had its inaugural season. The goal of the competition was to remove the barriers in esports communities around the world while showing general audiences the fun, excitement, and passion that esports offers. Additionally, the Invitational isn’t limited to professional players, which gives hopes to any undiscovered talent the opportunity to have that first step to greatness.

The first season was indeed a success with almost 60,000 players coming from 22 nations. Audience support was also excellent with figures showing around 24 million viewers watched the matches.

For this new season, fans can expect to see players from Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. As already mentioned, three weeks of matches from three different titles. Specifically, each week features a new title with the grand finale happening every Sunday.

Fans can get prizes as well by watching the tournament matches through these sites:

In a press statement, Razer Senior Global Esports Lead Khang Thai said that the competition was born out of the idea of offering all types of players a competitive platform. He added that after a successful first season, they hope that the 2021 season would be even bigger.
