Rainbow Six Siege's APAC North 2020 just concluded its final playday and the results are here. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. APAC North 2020 had some really amazing matches to watch this week. The most surprising thing that happened this week is that we got to see Fnatic destroy Nora-Rengo on Coastline, which was even more impressive considering Nora-Rengo can frag better.

Vodafone Giants vs Cloud 9, was a really exciting matchup. The contest was played out on Consulate and both teams put up an excellent fight. Both teams showed impressive strategies and counter-strategies, but Vodafone Giants have been on a roll the entire season. Jeremy “HysteRiX” Tan was the most influential player for the Giants this match as he carried his team with 18 kills, switching between multiple operators and winning the game 8-6. Vodafone Giants kept their number one spot in the leaderboards and won $21,000, while Cloud9 fell short in second place earning $10,500.

Vodafone Giants were almost perfect this season, as they beat all of their opponents with ease. The exception was Xavier Esports, who the Giants played against on Coastline. Xavier won that match with ease with a 7-3 score. This proves you shouldn't take fraggers to Coastline.

The most anticipated matchup from yesterday was Fnatic vs Nora-Rengo, which was played out on Coastline. Every player knows that you don’t take frag heavy teams to Coastline, but Fnatic took the best Japanese team to Coast and won 7-3. Both of these teams are known to be the best teams in APAC, but with multiple roster changes, both teams look a bit weaker. Fnatic’s coordination was on point in this match with Patrick "MentalistC" Fan switching roles every round and racking up 11 kills.

Another impressive match was Talon against EFY, which was played on Villa. This was the only match where Villa was used this time around, so it was nice to see some new strategies come out from both teams. Talon showed some impressive strategies for the Aviator site, which us players can use in our own competitive games. Talon also showed how to counter-strat properly during attack, which led to their victory with a final score of 7-5.

The top six teams that have been invited to the closed qualifiers are Giants Gaming, Cloud9, GUTS Gaming, Xavier Esports, FAV Gaming, and CYCLOPS Athlete Gaming. These teams will be fighting for their spot in the Six Major.
