Rainbow Six Siege Y7S3 Operation Brutal Swarm Goes Live Tomorrow

Sometimes I am surprised that Ubisoft has supported Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege for so long. The 2015 PvP game is still getting post-launch content. Y7S3 Operation Brutal Swarm is the latest season, and it will go live in less than 24 hours.

So, get your squad together and ready to begin your journey to Diamond Rank. I was going to say that you should aim for Champion, but let’s be realistic about this.

The new season will arrive on all platforms and bring a ton of content for players to enjoy.

New Operator

The new attacking operator GRIM is coming to the game. He hails from Singapore and is a great operator in getting Intel for defenders. His primary ability is finding the location of his enemies via a swarm of robotic bees. Real sci-fi stuff, I know. You can read more about the operator via our previous article.

Returning Map

The actual new map for this season was unfortunately delayed. However, the developer didn’t want us to feel content-starved. So, they decided to bring back an old map called Stadium 2021.

The map isn’t the same as before because of the changes and tweaks. You can also play it in Competitive Mode.

Other Changes

As you would expect from every new season, this one also has balancing changes and improvements. The biggest change will be the recoil increase to almost every weapon. The developer has also decided to balance the weapon recoil on PC and Consoles separately.

After a long time, players are getting a new gadget. A total of eight attacking operators will have access to EMP Impact Grenade. Maybe this addition will finally stop players from constantly banning Thatcher.

Brutal Swarm makes many more changes, including balancing tweaks to Fuze, Kali, and more. You can visit our previous article to read the pre-season Designer’s Notes.

So what do you think? Are you excited about the new season? Have you been playing Rainbow Six Siege recently? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
