A new season of Ubisoft’s tactical shooter, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, is only a couple of weeks away. The developer has revealed all the major changes you can expect from Y7S3 Operation Brutal Swarm.

The newly added character, GRIM, is an attacking operator from Singapore. He’s a three-speed one-health operator that is going to be a pain for defenders. The upcoming season also brings tons of new stuff, additional features, and numerous changes.

A Returning Map

Although the new map of Season 3 was delayed to the next Season, the developer still wanted to give players more content. So, they are permanently bringing back Stadium 2021. The said map has gone through some changes and will be called Stadium Bravo. It is a mixture of Border and Coastline, also playable in Ranked Mode as well.

New Gadget

Operation Brutal Swarm is bringing a new secondary gadget. Selected attacking operators will have access to Impact EMP Grenade, which works exactly like Thatcher’s EMP Grenade. However, the duration and range of the grenade will be shorter.

The following attackers can select Impact EMP Grenade:

  • Blackbeard
  • Montagne
  • Dokkaebi
  • Nokk
  • Gridlock
  • Sledge
  • Lion
  • Osa

Map Ban and Tactical Map Changes

Starting the next season, Map Ban Phase will be a little different. There will be five maps instead of three, so that map diversity is improved and player agency is maintained.

Tactical Map will also receive some QoL features.

  • Attackers can now see a list of available Defender objective locations.
  • The floor map and objective locations will be displayed when they are discovered by the Attacking team.

Operator Price Decrease

As usual, the new season will bring price decreases for old operators. The price of Amaru and Goyo will be reduced to 10,000 Renown or 240 R6 Credits. Zero will cost players 15,000 Renown or 360 R6 Credits, whereas Osa will cost 20,000 Renown or 480 R6 Credits.

The upcoming season also brings many balancing changes. Several attachments will be available to more weapons, and the recoil of every gun will be increased. You can read more about them over here.
