Rainbow Six Siege Update Y7S1.2 Brings New Map and Operator Changes

Rainbow Six Siege
Rainbow Six Siege Ubisoft

Update Y7S1.2 of Rainbow Six Siege is finally out, and it brings tons of changes, including a new map. The Emerald Plains is accessible in Ranked, Unranked, Quick Match, Team Deathmatch, Newcomer, and Lone Wolf. The release of this new map is surprising because it took over three years for the developers to launch it. The reasons behind it are yet to be revealed.

The map looks quite destructible, so don’t forget to bring both soft and hard breachers to get rid of the defenders. The map also has multiple windows that defenders can use to spawn-peek at the attackers. To avoid this, attackers should place drones and check the windows carefully before peeking into them.

Ying Balancing Changes

Ying has always been an annoying champion because of the utility she brings to the team and a great weapon with almost no recoil. In this update, things are different for her as her Candelas duration is reduced from 2.8 seconds to 1.4 seconds, which makes it easier for defenders to recover from flash effects. However, Ying now has four Candelas instead of three, which will help her clear Jager ADS and Wamai discs.
