Rainbow Six Siege’s The Esports Club League just concluded their first playday for division one matches. The tournament has a prize pool of $1,800, which is very high for the South Asia competitive scene. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all the matches will be held online instead of the more traditional LAN environment. The prize pool of the tournament will be split and awarded to the top five teams in every division. You can find the prize pool split here.

The ongoing The Esports Club League is a league-based competition, where every team has to face all their opponents from the same division. After all the matches are played out, every team will have earned points that are determined by the team's wins. The bottom three teams of every division then get demoted to the lower division, or even relegated if you are in division three, which is the lowest division in this league. You can watch live streams of every game on the TEC YouTube page.

The most exciting matchup for the first playday was between Union Gaming and MonkaS. The match was played on Consulate, which is a very linear map in terms of strategy. The match surprisingly went 7-2 in the favor MonkaS. Union Gaming has been dominating the league since season one by going flawless against every team and keeping their first position in the league. MonkaS was able to out-frag Union Gaming, mainly because of QB- and Jora.-. These players scored 11 and 10 kills respectively while playing completely opposite roles.

Another exciting match to watch was between KIRA Esports and LevelZero Esports. This match was played on Villa. Villa is a super strategy-heavy and defender-sided map, but KIRA was able to go 5-1 in the attacking half, which made thing super easy for their defense. KIRA won the match with a 7-1 scoreline, which wasn’t expected as LevelZero is known for aggression and frags.
