Rainbow Six Siege enters its fourth year with a bang as details for Year 4 Season 1 have just been revealed. It looks like the Rainbow Six team is going down under for this season’s new content.

As announced on the official Rainbow Six Siege website, it was confirmed two new operators from the SASR are joining the ranks as part of Operation Burnt Horizon. While details are scarce about the update, we know one of the operators is an Attacker is is “just there to get the job done.” The second is a Defender who is described as “quick-witted” and “in it for the guts and glory.” If the concept art at the top of the announcement is anything to go on, one operator looks to be wearing a Motocross helmet and pads, while the other one is in a more traditional military outfit.

The two operators are old friends and come packing new toys to play around with. The only confirmed devices are described as something that keeps “roaming Defenders on their toes” and one that leaves “Attackers at a bit of a loss.” Interpret that however you want.

Although there weren’t any screenshots included in the initial announcement, Ubisoft also described the new map players can use once Operation Burnt Horizon releases. The map is a standoff at a service station in Australia. The announcement mentions the map is filled with twists and turns, and players can expect to find a gift shop and fast food counter to battle in.

A full reveal of Operation Burnt Horizon, the new operators and everything else will take place on February 17. You can catch the update on the Rainbow Six Twitch channel. The announcement will take place during the Rainbow Six Invitational in Montreal. It’s likely this announcement will include a release date, if you are wondering when you’ll be able to get your hands on the new operators and explore the new map.

Rainbow Six Siege is now available to play on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
