PQube and Kemco’s psychological horror visual novel, Raging Loop is releasing both physically and digitally on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in the West as per a new announcement.

In this visual novel, you will delve deeper into a story that takes place in the secluded area of the Japanese village, Yasumizu. The village is surrounded by a heavy mist that prevents the people from leaving it. The Ancient Gods are here to hunt down each and every one of the villagers. Will you die at the hands of the monsters, or will you make it out of Yasumizu alive?

The mountain near the village was once the home of five beast guardians. At the time of the feast, a few chosen villagers will inherit their powers.

The five Guardians include:

  • The Wolves kill one person each day.
  • The Snake is able to see if someone is a wolf or a human.
  • The Spider can protect one person from the Wolf.
  • The two Monkeys know each other’s identity.
  • The Crow can tell whether the corpse belonged to a Wolf or a Human.

The features of the game makes Raging Loop a visual novel that is definitely one-of-a-kind. Raging Loop pays huge tribute to its corresponding Japanese Folklore. A young man named Haruaki Fusaishi arrives at the village of Yasumizu, a remote area deep in the mountainous region of Japan. Just as soon as he arrives, he becomes a part of the sinister tradition of the villagers known as the feast. One of the villagers inherited the power of the vengeful wolf who kills one villager every day.

After clearing the game, the Revelation Mode will automatically be unlocked. This mode sheds some light on the other characters thoughts and motivations throughout the whole story. You will be able to keep track of the decisions you made in the game with a comprehensible flowchart. You can rewind the story to make a different choice and see another outcome to know more about the motivation of the characters. Some deaths will help you find new clues that bring you close to your goal of finding the wolf. The protagonist, stuck in a tangled loop of inescapable events and knowing his fate, must take advantage of the knowledge he gathered before each death.

Raging Loop will be released in the West for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch some time this year.
