Celebrating a new milestone. Toxic Games

It was back in 2012 when Q.U.B.E. was first launched by Toxic Games. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, a fresh version of this brain-twisting first-person puzzler is coming this summer. Titled Q.U.B.E. 10th Anniversary, it's set to arrive on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

In the original Q.U.B.E., players take control of an avatar that they need to guide across a series of levels and make their way to an exit. The avatar is equipped with special gloves, which can perform different functions on specific blocks to reach the exit.

For this new release, fans can expect refined visuals and a complete redesign of sections found in the original release and the Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut of 2014.

Features of Q.U.B.E. 10th Anniversary include:

  • Q.U.B.E.
    • The original 2012 version of the game with improved visuals, new puzzles, and gameplay tweaks based on player feedback.
  • Q.U.B.E. Director’s Cut
    • The 2014 version of the game with a voice-over narrative and revised soundtrack.
  • Sector 8
    • A new chapter to the game that can be unlocked after completing the campaign.
    • This provides four to six hours of brand new puzzle gameplay.
    • Fresh visuals, with the game entirely rebuilt from the ground up.
  • Brand New Developer Commentary
    • Listen as the dev team reminisces about how they made the game.
  • Assorted Extras
    • Screenshots, concept art, fully playable soundtracks in the menus, and other trinkets from the making of the game.

In a statement, Creative Director Dave Hall revealed that they built this new version from the ground up. He said that they didn’t just want to put better visuals and wanted to offer a reimagined Q.U.B.E. Hall went on to say that they listened to the feedback for the last decade and fixed some of the puzzles that didn’t work as planned.

For the PC version, here are the minimum system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD R9 290X series card or higher
