PUBG Mobile surprised many player when it was suddenly announced that Season 7 had arrived. The move may be an answer to details of the update leaking out before the actual roll out. Regardless of the reason, the new season is here. Let's take a closer look at what it has in store for players.
The official patch notes released don't really give out much, as it only shows these changes:
- What's New:
- New Royale Pass Season is here with the new EZ Mission License, character beard, and parachute/flight trails.
- New Weapon: Skorpion, a machine pistol that fires 9mm rounds. Drops in all maps.
- Added dedicated servers for players in Middle East.
- Other Improvements:
- The Subscription feature has been tuned.
- Added category tabs to the Shop
- Adjusted audio to reduce interruptions.
According to various videos and posts going around regarding the new update, players can expect the size to be around 200 to 300 MB.
Changes have been done to the Survival Mode as it now limits play time during weekdays between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. the next day. Players can play all the time during weekends. Survival Mode has also been tweaked so that players need to get to at least level 5 to play it.
Twilight Mode has been improved as well, with the poision gas warning now made clearer especially during twilight escape play. In addition, the difficulty of Twilight Escape Wave 1 has been lowered.
For gameplay, a new addition is the trail smoke effect when a place is dropped. When it comes to cosmetics, character beards have been added.

Aside from the new season, PUBG also announced that it has entered into a new collaboration and that players can expect a new crossover between PUBG Mobile and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
A crossover is not new for PUBG Mobile as players experienced what it meant to be in the world of Resident Evil with the Zombie: Surivave Till Dawn game mode. In this mode, players get to kill zombines and a chance to win the Claire and Leon sets. There is no upate yet on what to expect from this latest crossover announcement with Godzilla.
