PlayStation has announced two free games coming to PlayStation Plus in August. One of those two games is the celebrated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and the second is the all-new multiplayer battle royale Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. Sony revealed the free games lineup on its official Twitter account along with an announcement for a free multiplayer weekend for the PlayStation.

If you haven't claimed July's lineup of free games, they will still be available until Monday, August 3.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was an amazing game developed by Infinity Ward 11 years ago. The game was recently remastered with upgraded visuals.

The remaster allows you to relive the celebrated single-player experience. Immerse yourself in the story of Soap, Ghost, and Captain Price. The remastered version of the game only offers the campaign and does not include the multiplayer mode that other Call of Duty games are known for.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a new and fun take on the battle royale genre. The game features a massive multiplayer mode with up to 60 players online competing against each other through a series of rounds, until one player remains as the victor.

The game doesn't boast realistic graphics or mechanics, but there's something interesting about the game. From the looks of it, it seems that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout won't disappoint many fans.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is set to release on the PS4 on August 4 and if you've got a PS Plus membership, you can access the game for free on the launch date. The game features online free-for-all and co-op challenges.

On a similar note, earlier this month, Sony released a free PS4 theme in celebration of 10 years of PS Plus. The theme is still available on the PS Store for a limited time, so go ahead grab it before it disappears.
