We finally have the details for September Community Day in Pokémon GO. The featured Pokémon is none other than Roggenrola, set to appear more frequently in the wild. This month's Community Day is on September 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time.

During the event, trainers who evolve Boldore (Roggenrola’s Evolution) get a Gigalith that knows the Charged Attack Meteor Beam.

Event Bonuses

Like every Community Day, trainers can enjoy lots of bonuses, and for September, these are:

  • 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
  • Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.

The bonuses mentioned are active for only three hours during the event. There are two bonuses active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (local time) and these are:

  • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
  • Trades made will require 50% less Stardust.

After the Event

The fun doesn’t stop even when Community Day ends. That’s because Bonus Raid Battles are also happening on September 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., local time. Trainers can take on unique four-star Raid Battles.

These four-star Raid Battles see the appearance of Boldore. Just remember that trainers can only join the raids when they use Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes can’t be used to join these raids.

Once a four-star Raid Battle against Boldore is completed, Roggenrola starts to appear in a 300-meter radius around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Those lucky enough can even encounter a Shiny one.

Playing with Others

Those looking for other Trainers in their area to trade, battle, or raid with on Community Day can head over to the Community Day map. By searching for Community Parks, trainers can find areas in their city that are historically popular places for Community Day.
