Pokémon Go is updating raid battles next week, and Pokémon Trainers will want to stock up on supplies for this one. Starting on April 15, the legendary psychic dragon Latios is back in Legendary raids. There’s even the opportunity to find a shiny Latios when fighting in a raid battle.

Pokémon Go Latios Raid Battle Start Time

Latios is back next week, but you’ll need to act quickly to catch one (or several). Latios is available to fight and catch in Pokémon Go starting on April 15 at 4 p.m. EDT. Latios will be available to catch until April 22 at 4 p.m. EDT.

How To Catch Latios

So you found a Latios raid battle, but how do you actually catch one? First, you’ll need to fight. Legendary raid battles in Pokémon Go aren’t easy, and even the strongest player can’t defeat a legendary Pokémon alone. To ensure you defeat Latios, you’ll want a group of at least six or seven players all fighting at the same time. Keep returning to the fight with new Pokémon if your team has all been knocked out.

The fight may have been tough, but the job isn’t over just yet. Once defeated, use your given number of special Pokéballs to try and catch Latios. Make sure to take your time and wait for Latios to be still enough to be caught. Use Razz berries, Golden Razz berries or Silver Pinap berries to help calm Latios down and make for an easier catch.

How do you get a shiny Latios? Shiny Latios are spawned randomly, and there’s no way to tell if you’ll find a Shiny Latios. The best way to raise your odds is to complete multiple raids.

So what do you think? Are you and your Pokémon Go crew ready to catch some Latios next week? What Pokémon would you like to see next in raid battles? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
