Attention trainers! Team Mystic Leader Blanche may be the type not to look for help but this time, he really could use some support. A new event in Pokémon GO invites everyone to focus on research tasks and learn more about Pokémon evolution. A Mystic Hero event starts from April 13 to April 17.
For this event trainers can enjoy these bonuses:
- 2× XP for evolving Pokémon.
- Two guaranteed Candy XL for evolving Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
Once the new event goes live, a Special Research is going to be available which features none other than Blanche. Trainers able to complete the research get rewarded with an encounter with Lapras wearing a Blanche-themed accessory, and those lucky enough may even encounter a Shiny one. By the way, this is the only way to encounter this Pokémon wearing a Blanche-themed accessory for this season.
Aside from the Special Research, tasks focused on evolving and catching Pokémon are also available. Trainers who complete Field Research tasks get rewarded with Stardust and Evolution items.
There's also Timed Research which rewards a Magnetic Lure.
Elite Raids
While waiting for the event to go live, trainers can test their skill and see if their team can go against Regieleki in Elite Raids. Regieleki is hatching at these times:
- April 9 at 11:00 a.m. (local time).
- April 9 at 2:00 p.m. (local time).
- April 9 at 5:00 p.m. (local time).
Those able to complete an Elite Raid get access to an exclusive Timed Research. This Timed Research can only be received once and completing the research tasks have trainers earn Regirock Candy, Regice Candy, and Registeel Candy.
For those new to the game, Elite Raids are a challenging version of Raid Battle. These raids appear from special Raid Eggs which take 24 hours to hatch. Once the Raid Egg hatches, a Raid Boss appears for 30 minutes. However, Elite Raid Bosses can only be battled in-person. For the Elite Raid mentioned, those who beat Regieleki get a chance to catch this Pokémon.
