Pokémon Go already has a lot in store for Trainers this March. However, that doesn’t seem to be enough as it looks like a possible global take-over by Team GO Rocket is in the works. The professor and team leaders have been looking into the movements of Team GO Rocket and it does look like they’re planning on something big. It’s hard to know what their actual plans are, but today we look at the some of the details.

Starting this Friday, March 6 at 8 a.m. until Monday, March 9 at 10 p.m. local time, Poison- and Dark-type Pokémon are set to appear more often in the wild. Other Pokémon related to Team GO Rocket are going to appear more often as well. There are also reports coming in that Absol could be one of those that are going to appear in the wild. Keep watch for any Skorupi though, as those lucky enough could find a Shiny version.

That’s not all as on Saturday March 7 at 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Team GO Rocket is going to make its move. Team GO Rocket Grunts are set to make a push in a bid to get more PokéStops. Leaders Sierra, Cliff, Arlo, and possibly Giovanni himself are going to be more active. So be sure to keep those Rocket Radars or Super Rocket Radars equipped.

It’s also been noticed that Shadow Pokémon rescued from the Team GO Rocket Leaders have a chance of being Shiny. Though Team GO Rocket Leaders may have switched up their teams when they first appeared, during the take-over event Trainers get the chance to rescue all six of the Shadow Pokémon left behind by the Team GO Rocket Leaders.

In addition during the take-over, Trainers can use a Charged TM to change a Shadow Pokémon’s exclusive attack, Frustration, to other Charged Attacks that the Pokémon can learn normally. It’s worth noting that for those who purify the Shadow Pokémon afterward, it can still learn Return, replacing the attack learned via the Charged TM.

During the take-over, Trainers who manage to beat Team GO Rocket Grunts and Leaders can earn twice the usual Stardust and can do it while listening to Team GO Rocket music through the in-game music.

Still on Team GO Rocket for March, Trainers who complete their most recent set of Team GO Rocket Special Research are going to be able to access this month's Team GO Rocket Special Research. Dubbed as The Shadowy Threat Grows, Trainers are tasked with defeating defeat Team GO Rocket, its leaders, and Giovanni. This time it's a chance to rescue the Legendary Shadow Pokémon Entei.

Do you have what it takes to stop Team GO Rocket?
