See What’s Coming to Pokémon GO This June

May is almost over and in Pokémon GO, that can mean one thing: it’s time to prepare for a new set of activities coming in June.

Let’s start with the fact that Giovanni almost has Shadow Zapdos in his hands but trainers have a chance to save this Pokémon. From June 1 to June 17, players need to finish the Team GO Rocket Special Research titled “The Higher They Fly.” Once completed, they earn a Super Rocket Radar which can help them go after Giovanni himself.

Community Day

So what else is happening in June? Of course, there’s the monthly Community Day, on June 6, and it features Gible, the Land Shark Pokémon. Bonuses for this day include 3x Catch XP and Incense activated lasting for three hours.

Research Breakthrough

The Research Breakthrough Encounter starts June 1 until July 1. During this period, trainers get to encounter Clamperl in Research Breakthrough encounters. As a bonus, everyone gets to receive a Remote Raid Pass for free. In addition, achieving a Research Breakthrough results in earning twice the XP.

Here are the other events in June:

• Five-Star Raids
  • Regirock, Regice, and Registeel appear in five-star raids from June 1 to June 17.
  • A surprise Legendary Pokémon is set to appear in five-star raids from June 17 to June 30.
• Mega Raids
  • Mega Lopunny appears in Mega Raids from June 1 to June 8.
  • Mega Slowbro makes its official debut in Mega Raids from June 8 to June 17.
  • Mega Gyarados appears in Mega Raids from June 17 to July 2.
  • Starting June 1, only one Pokémon appears in Mega Raids at a time.
• Raid Hour
  • For June, a Raid Hour event is scheduled every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., local time. It’s going to feature these Pokémon:
    • June 2: Regirock
    • June 9: Registeel
    • June 16: Regice
    • June 23: To be announced
    • June 30: To be announced
• Pokémon Spotlight Hours
  • Spotlight Hours happen every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., local time. Each hour spotlights a different Pokémon and special bonus. These are:
    • June 1
      • Spotlight on: Dwebble
      • Bonus: Earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon.
    • June 8
      • Spotlight on: Abra
      • Bonus: Earn twice the Candy for catching Pokémon.
    • June 15
      • Spotlight on: Slowpoke
      • Bonus: Earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon.
