Pokémon GO Invites You to Catching Some Z's Event This Saturday

It's all about the Zzzz's! Niantic

All trainers in Pokémon GO are invited to join the new event Catching Some Z's, from July 15 at 10:00 a.m. to July 16 at 8:00 p.m., local time. This event sees the official game debut of the Drowsing Pokémon Komala. In addition, Snorlax wearing a nightcap is also debuting for the first time.

New Device

This event is in celebration of the upcoming release of Pokémon GO Plus +. For those not familiar with this one, it's a new device which can be connected to Pokémon GO.

With Pokémon GO Plus +, trainers can play the game without the need to always stare at their phone. Through the auto-throw function, trainers can automatically throw Poké Balls at wild Pokémon. There's also the auto-spin function to automatically spin PokéStops. Trainers can make adjustments to the settings as well, and even switch between Great Balls and Ultra Balls.

Pokémon GO Plus + can also be connected to Pokémon Sleep. Just press the button at the center, place it by the pillow, and let it track your sleep. The sleep data will yield enjoyable new features on Pokémon GO.

Special Research

Trainers who paired Pokémon GO Plus + with Pokémon GO can take on Special Research that leads to an encounter with Snorlax wearing a nightcap.
