Pokémon Go Gen 3 Egg Update: Which Pokémon Can Be Hatched

Hoenn Pokemon can now appear in Eggs in Pokemon Go
Hoenn Pokemon can now appear in Eggs in Pokemon Go Niantic/Player One

When new Pokémon are added to Pokémon Go there is a reshuffling of which ‘mon appear in the Eggs. With the Gen 3 Pokémon , there are quite a few changes to which Pokémon appear in the Eggs that hatch after walking a certain distance (2km, 5km and 10km). The Hoenn Pokémon that appeared during the most recent Halloween event , Sableye, Duskull and Shuppet, were added to Eggs alongside the Pokémon from Kanto and Johto.

Niantic announced that more than 50 Gen 3 Pokémon would appear in the update, but it seems only a handful actually are in the game right now. Some of the Pokémon from the Hoenn Region, like Roselia and Manectric, don’t actually appear in Eggs but still appear in the overworld. They may begin to appear in Eggs after more Gen 3 Pokémon are added but they are currently unavailable outside of traditional capture.

Pokémon Go players should know that Eggs picked up from PokéStops prior to the Gen 3 update will not produce a Hoenn Pokémon.

Here’s the list of Gen 3 Pokémon that appear in Eggs, sorted by the distance.

Note: This list will be updated as more Pokémon appear in the game.

Alongside the Hoenn Pokémon this update also adds a new feature called Dynamic Weather, which simulates the local weather in your game.

There are seven different types of weather in the new Pokémon Go update. Each weather powers up certain types of Pokémon and makes those types appear in the overworld more frequently.

Pokémon caught in these conditions will have markers on their specific page and will grow their CP faster than those Pokémon caught outside of the weather conditions.

So which Pokémon have you hatched from the Hoenn Region? Which Pokémon are you still hoping to catch? Let us know in the comments section below.
