Attention trainers! We now have details for the Pokémon GO May 2023 Community Day. It's scheduled for May 21 from 2:00 p.m. (local time) to 5:00 p.m. (local time). The event will feature Fennekin, which is going to appear more frequently in the wild. Those lucky enough may encounter a Shiny one.

Here are the bonuses trainers can enjoy during this month's Community Day:

  • 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event last for three hours.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event lasts for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
  • Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.
  • One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.

Other Activities

During the event, players can also take on the May Community Day-themed Field Research. Those who can catch Fennekin get rewards like additional Fennekin encounters, Stardust, and Ultra Balls.

Trainers can also get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and buying them from the in-game shop.

Bonus Raid Battles

Community Day ends at 5:00 p.m. (local time), but for this month, there's still something left to do once it's done. That's because from 5:00 p.m. (local time) to 10:00 p.m. (local time), trainers get the chance to take on unique four-star Raid Battles. Those who win in one of these raids will cause more Fennekin to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes.

As a quick reminder, only trainers with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes can join these raids. Remote Raid Passes can't be used for these Raid Battles.

An Instinctive Hero Event

While waiting for Community Day, trainers can now start to help Spark in the new "An Instinctive Hero" event, starting today until May 8. It serves as the official debut of Larvesta and Volcarona in the game.

For trainers who are lucky enough, Larvesta is available to hatch from two-, five-, and 10-kilometer Eggs. Once Larvesta is obtained, they can use 400 Larvest Candy to evolve it to Volcarona.

The bonuses for this event are:

  • Increased chance of hatching Shiny Pokémon from two-, five-, and 10-kilometer Eggs.
  • 2× XP for hatching Pokémon.
  • 2× Stardust for hatching Pokémon.

Don't forget to check out more details about this event, and be sure to be part of the fun.

Pokémon GO is available on Android and iOS.
