Don't miss out on Umbreon and Espeon because of something dumb
Don't miss out on Umbreon and Espeon because of something dumb Bulbapedia

If you still haven’t caught an Umbreon or Espeon in Pokémon Go , there are a few things you might not know. First, you can get one of the evolutions by renaming your Eevee Sakura or Tamao, but not both. But if you want that second one, you are going to have to care for it, groom it and tell the little furball how much it means to you. Just kidding, you have to put the Eevee as your buddy, walk it at least 10 km and then evolve it with candies in the day for Espeon or night for Umbreon.

Keep in mind that if your GPS is off while you evolve your Eevee, you will get one of the normal three evolutions, and nobody wants that. If your location services are turned off, the game cannot determine what time of the day it is, so it has to give you an elemental evolution. On reddit, a fan exclaimed that he missed his chance at evolving a perfect IV Umbreon because his GPS was turned off.

Don’t make the same mistake, nobody wants four Flareons.

The best Eevee evolutions are Umbreon and Espeon. Nobody can argue with me otherwise. Their designs are elegant without being cluttered, regal without looking tacky and just plain adorable. Glaceon has ears that don’t make sense, Leafeon is a terrible name and Sylveon is a stupid Fairy. I’m incredibly biased here when I say having an Espeon or Umbreon in your Pokémon games will actually improve your life.
