If you haven’t been keeping up with the Pokémon Go Christmas event, you are sorely missing out. Free incubators, increased egg spawns and Pikachus with adorable santa hats. Niantic really pulled out all the bells and whistles for this one and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it. Still haven’t hatched a single Smoochum or Magby, but I swear I’m not bitter at all Niantic :).

The Pokémon Go Christmas event is broken into two parts, which end at different times.

The first half of Pokémon Go ’s Christmas event ends Jan 3. in the “afternoon.” This can mean anywhere from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST.

  • Increased odds of hatching a Generation 2 egg, though I still haven’t gotten anything. I might be just a bit salty.

  • You can get one free, single-use incubator on your first Pokéstop spin of the day.

The second half ends Jan. 8 in the “afternoon.” I expect it to end the same time as the first half from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST..

  • Lures last 60 minutes.

  • Increased spawns for Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander as well as their evolutions. I’m still missing Blastoise so lures will be spammed.
