A smattering of new PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds content was shown during this year’s PC Gaming Show, including a handful of new features that will be introduced in the coming months. The game’s lead designer, Brendan “Playerunknown” Greene, also recommitted to delivering a plethora of server performance and stability tweaks before the end of the month.

We already knew some of the content teased during the PC Gaming Show would hit PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in the future. Prime example: we learned about the game’s two new maps back in March. The first, a desert town somewhere in Peru, will give players an arid, 16 km 2 environment in which to hunt one another and fight to claim their very own chicken dinner. The second, an 8km x 8km island somewhere in the Adriatic sea, will let PUBG players explore an abandoned cosmodrome and duke it out on snow-tipped mountains.

But we also got an early look at the dynamic jumping and climbing mechanics that should be coming to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds sometime in 2017. The new systems will make it much easier for players to leap over walls and fences surrounding some buildings. It’ll also be much easier to dive in/out of windows when you need to find cover or make a quick exit. Climbing should also come in handy when those Hot Boat Strats force you into a corner of the map without a beach. New weather effects, including fog, will also change the in-game dynamic.

In addition to all the new content, Green also took a few moments to confirm server stability and performance remains the primary focus at Bluehole this month. The studio might be hard at work on new features and content for its wildly popular arena shooter, but it still expects to make the current crop of PUBG content more stable in the interim.

For an early look at some of the new content coming to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, take a few minutes to watch the new PUBG trailer from Bluehole. Then head down to the comments and let us know what you’d like to see added to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in the future.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently available in Steam Early Access. The full game heads to PC and Xbox One in 2018.
