Konami announced the release of Data Pack 2 for PES 2017 for November 24.

This update is for both next and current-gen systems along with Steam but there is a catch for all those without a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. The biggest additions from the data pack (the three new stadiums, new crowd chants) will not be available for those on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Steam.

Data Pack 2 includes world renowned stadiums for Liverpool FC (Anfield), Borussia Dortmund ( Signal Iduna Park ) and Palmeras (Allianz Parque). Also included in this update are a classic Liverpool FC kit and over 100 new faces and boots for players. This pack comes after Data Pack 1 featured a third Liverpool FC kit along with over 30 new faces and 12 new boots as well back in October.

Players on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Steam will receive the classic Liverpool FC kit, the new faces and the additional boots that were included in the new pack.

One thing missing in this Data Pack is the addition of PS4 Pro support. It was believed that Konami would put that inside this Data Pack but for some reason it was not included in this update, which undoubtedly have upset people. Konami is now shooting for December for PS4 Pro support according to their statement.

“With regard to the PES support for PS4 Pro that we have announced its launch targeted at the end of November, we apology that we would not be able to start the support at the announced date for various reasons. The new launch date is planned in mid-December.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this delay may have caused you.”

Last week EA Sports announced their latest set of fixes for FIFA which included new updated player models. While FIFA obtained numerous licenses and has many more teams than PES , Konami is going all in with the amount of player models they are including in PES 2017 due to not having as many teams to worry about within the game. Add in improved movement and gameplay and PES 2017 is exceeding expectations and is considered a legitimate alternative to FIFA 17 .
