Rumors are swarming the video game industry regarding who the actor may be, and many claim that it will be Patrick Gibson.

Gibson recently confirmed that he is working on a video game but did not specify which one, but the massive speculations and his uncanny resemblance to "007 First Light's" Bond have fans guessing that he is the next Bond.

Is Patrick Gibson the Next James Bond?

"007 First Light" is set to retell the origins of the renowned super spy when he first joined the MI6. The game's trailer has already shown what James Bond will look like.

ComicBook Gaming reported that when the game's trailer dropped, there had been rumors about who is the person behind the animated character's likeness, particularly as this is the next James Bond of the franchise. The speculation points out to "Dexter: Original Sin's" Patrick Gibson.

In a recent interview with Austin Stowell, Gibson confirmed that he is indeed working on a video game in London but did not reveal which title he is currently playing as.

Gibson also revealed that in this video game shoot, he was made to wear a mocap suit as well as have "dots" on his head.

IO Interactive's '007 First Light'

Despite these confirmations, Gibson is yet to unveil the video game project that he is a part of and has not confirmed that he is the new James Bond for IO Interactive's "007 First Light."

The report from ComicBook Gaming claimed that IO Interactive is a game development studio based in Denmark, but they do have an office in Brighton, England, which is less than two hours from London. Gibson may be shooting in London with IO Interactive for his role as James Bond, particularly as the setting of the renowned spy franchise is in the United Kingdom's capital.

IO Interactive has yet to confirm the actor behind the new James Bond for "007 First Light" despite already plastering his face and likeness on the game's trailer and its official website for a closer look.
